At the heart of the intervention is the principle of reconstruction and reuse. The project embraces the challenge of revitalizaition, changing the existing exterior as well as the spatial configuration with the addition of a new floor. Rather than demolishing and rebuilding, the project leverages the existing framework, preserving its embodied energy and minimizing environmental impact. The original facade, characterized by its somewhat dated 1980s aesthetic, is reimagined through a bold yet refined architectural language. Clean lines and a complex asymmetrical composition define the new exterior, creating a dynamic visual rhythm that reflects the evolving identity of the company. This transformation is not merely cosmetic. The architectural intervention serves as a catalyst for organizational change, symbolizing a shift in the company’s structure and culture. The addition of a new floor, executed with a lightweight steel panel system, represents both a physical and metaphorical elevation. It introduces new spatial opportunities without imposing additional stress on the existing concrete skeleton, a strategic move that avoids costly structural reinforcements.
